HEYYYYY kids! Its story time. It’s the story of my life.
“The story of life,
I read harry potter, I like it,
and I’m like let’s try it again.“
Let’s just try to sing that in the tune of story of my life by one direction, even if it is hard to do so.
Anywayyyy, what you all doing lately? I had the most unproductive day ever, like I literally just lazed around, memorized the periodic table song, bought some friendship bands(cause it’s friendship day tomorrow!!!!), saw some random music videos, went to tuition and read something about the reflex arc, which according to me looks like an almond, the cell I mean.
On 31st July, Harry Potter turned 38 and Jk Rowling turned 53! The post was supposed to go up that day, but I was sorta busy, so here I am typing this out 5 days later. I wanted to buy a cake and throw a party or something cool like that, but apparently that wasn’t possible.
So, my obsession with harry potter started in the beginning of 7th grade. In 6th grade my friend, had memorized the sorting hat song from the goblet of fire, she tried to make me read the book and memorize the song. Spoiler alert: Neither worked at that time. Ok so here’s the thing, at that point I had no idea what harry potter is all about, I didn’t even know he was a wizard, that’s like general knowledge. One fine afternoon, I was bored, I started flipping through channels like a normal human. When HBO came, I stopped, the top, you know the place which shows the name of the movie going on said- “Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban”. My seventh grade brain was like, oh look harry potter, let’s see what this is all about. (Also this was sort of like the ending, the part where Hermione shows the time turner. ) When they took out their wands this is what I thought, and I swear I’m not joking, “oh, they have wands, what are they witches?” Yes, I know. Anyway, I just proceeded on to finish the movie. After it ended I was like , that wasn’t bad, let’s do it again, this is considering the fact that- 1. This was the last part of the third movie, 2. I had no idea what on earth was happening, 3. I didn’t know he was a wizard. That’s harry potter guys, even if you’re a newbie and have zero idea, you like it anyway.
Fast forward to when I had seen all the movies, and yes I figured out he was a wizard. I was like, wait, I haven’t even read the books, that my friends is what you call stupidity. NEVER DO THAT. Read the books, then, watch the movies. But it was too late to think about that. So I read the book fully aware about what is going to happen- I knew when Dumbledore would die, I knew Snape was a good guy all along, I knew dobby would take a knife for harry and the other stuff.
So here I am, in the present age, a normal Potterhead, who remembers the dialogues by heart, who tries to say accio when she can’t find her stuff, who tries to say silencio when someone is annoying her and who freaks out when she finds someone like her.
That my friends, is my journey with harry potter. Pretty weird isn’t it? Anyone experience something like this? Let me know. Until then- Study like a Granger, Eat like a Weasley and live like a Potter.
